Russell Whyman I love this album. It is a multi-textured masterpiece and when you download it 'you also get two bonus demo tracks from the album writing sessions as well as the FULL Solar Soma EP "So Much for Style"'. Which would be great value even if the album was awful.

But here's the thing, it isn't. The album is actually brilliant. The music is great, lyrics are well written and well sung. Add to this the outstanding album art which makes it a shame they don't produce a 12" LP version to do it justice.

Agnes Mitchell This album, as well as the previous, is part of my "life soundtrack". 20 yrs from now I'll hear it and remember this time in my life. I'll still love it 20yrs from now! Favorite track: You Threw the Stone.

Into the grey Rested the mines where they lay If not for them, for us. Bring on the dead Forget all of those we couldn't save If not for them, why us? If we cease to exist The end of our line could be this If not for them, for us No, There's just no place left to go There's no surprise that they don't roam where I roam "If you look in my eyes you'll find no sympathy You'll drown like sheep, all but one If you feel in my heart there's no empathy You'll drown like sheep for what you've done Cause you should have known When you threw the stone You should have known" No, there's just no place left to go There's no surprise that they don't roam where I roam Where I roam You should have known Where I roam You should have known But you stand on your own.

The Ritual 10:18
I'm not the victim this time I am but a sickness and I won't deny it. Raised hands as victory smiles A taste of a richness, but I can't define it. An' you just tilt your head You made it crystal "Never again" I went way to far No one can ever know that, that you came here for The truth The ritual lies It's habitual lies I was right to say that we've come this far Proving just what you are The ritual is in your eyes I never lied, I said that I'd run away From all that I want it to be The ritual is in your eyes The ritual lies It's habitual lies You said that you'd come this far Proving just what you are The ritual is in your eyes I never lied, I said that I'd run away From all that I wanted to be The ritual is in my mind. Bring on the purge.

As these hopes leave my mind I try to change this arrows course in my eyes We left as they woke too fast to be noticed Quick enough without touching sky, I'm free now These things are printed But i'll save myself, cause I crave my shell We all knew it for what it was Breaking the rhythm Afraid of the change that they'll see in me These things are printed But i'll save myself, cause I crave my shell These things are printed But i'll save myself, cause I crave my shell These things are printed But i'll save myself, cause I crave my shell These things are printed But i'll save myself, cause I crave my shell

These revelations are my own thoughts Trapped for so long in my old haunts We stand aside as the waters rise You've lost the privilege to be surprised I tried to talk and I tried to learn I saw you gathering to watch it burn (Feels alright) We're seeking safety in our own words (So close) I recommend that we fuck ourselves The beast is coming but don't start running We weren't so cunning, we never should have failed Please assure me I'm alright, Grab on please if that's alright And as we disappear for good and as we feed her like we should There's no mistaking it's time, Grab on please if that's alright. Make me a deal You've got what you want But now you won't replace it The shame and fear I can feel You see no doubt in your face You think you're winning the race. The beast is coming but don't start running We weren't so cunning, we never should have failed Please assure me I'm alright, Grab on please if that's alright And as we disappear for good and as we feed her like we should There's no mistaking it's time, Grab on please if that's alright. We refuse to live in fear Waiting for the sun to disappear She'll refuse to let us near A million years will make that clear "As freedom wins You never gave yourself a chance to know that this is gonna' be the end" A beast is coming but don't start running We weren't so cunning, we never should have failed Please assure me I'm alright, Grab on please if that's alright And as we disappear for good and as we feed her like we should There's no mistaking it's time, Grab on please if that's alright. You never looked so far ahead, you didn't to what I said There's no mistaking it's our time, Grab on please if that's alright

Sirens 03:58
Is the sky so empty Watching for the sun When every boat will fear the shore Is the sky so empty The wind will feel no song from anyone And we'll remember nothing more. "I did what I could when they led me to trust A moth to a flame and a lover to lust One had the answers and one made the rules I'm not ashamed I wasn't the only one fooled."
6.
Memo 00:54
"I did what I could when they led me to trust A moth to a flame and a lover to lust One had the answers and one made the rules I'm not ashamed I wasn't the only one fooled."
7.
Pain in a promise Built a lie An there's a proof in your love that was never fair You can see that I know this Can see I've arrived And well the truth lives in you (Ride the wave) Can't say I wasn't persistent (Ride the wave) I think I let it go on too long (Ride the wave) You know i'll be gone in an instant (Ride the wave) I wanna know if you listened at all When the caution came Or are we living large? (Ride the wave) You couldn't say that I wasn't persistent (Ride the wave) I think I let it go on for longer than I should (Ride the wave) You know i'll be gone in an instant (Ride the wave) I wanna know if you listened at all When the caution came Or did we just live large? I can't tell you how long it's been since I opened up The moment passes quickly, I keep my mouth shut Do tell my past, silent screams that I'm happy to die Do what you can when they raise you to trust A moth to a flame and a lover to lust One has the answer while one makes the rules Don't be ashamed you weren't the only one fooled No one is choosing to lay it all down Only a skeptic would follow the crown We are enlightened when facing demise Where will you be when they black out the skies
8.
I'm on my way Yes i'm on my way If you leave it to us, we'll say we're on the way Can we have more time Couldn't we please just have more time If you left it to us, we'd just ask for more time Cause i'm on my way Yes it's on its way You can wait for tomorrow But it'll never come We won't stand on our feet again We're too short on time, of time Cause i'm on my way But it's on its way I'm on my way Couldn't we please just have more time If you left it to us, we'd just ask for more time Cause i'm on my way We've wasted all our time.
